EOIR Technologies Wins Multi-Camera Real-Time Feature Recognition, Extraction & Tagging Automation (McFRETA) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Contract
Fredericksburg, VA – EOIR Technologies, Inc. has announced today its win of the Air Force’s McFRETA SBIR contract. With this contract, EOIR will conduct research and development of an open framework to perform automated anomaly detection of multiple streaming video sources, and to extract metadata on the anomalies that is made available for both ongoing operations and forensics. Dr. Joe Mackin, President & CEO of EOIR made the announcement.
“In addition to supporting Intelligence Analysts, a real-time automated video processing and anomalous event extraction capability could be used to increase Situation Awareness of Warfighters on the tactical edge, by forwarding videos of operationally important events to a wrist-mounted or portable display as the events occur,” said Dr. Mackin, “EOIR’s expertise in technology research and development, as well as our long history of deploying technologies to Warfighters in the field, allows us to meet and exceed the Air Force’s expectations.
