Eric Kahler Appointed To Rutgers BigData Advisory Board

Eric Kahler, Senior Systems Analyst and Software Engineer within the Advanced Research Group, has been appointed by Rutgers University to the BigData@Rutgers Advisory Board for 1 year. Membership on the Board is by invitation and is based on accomplishments and position. Eric has 20 years of computer science experience, including extensive big data expertise. He has architected, engineered, and led the software development of several Army software solutions with a focus on the transformation and analysis of real-time big data streams.

The Board is comprised of a diverse, active, and connected network of executives who make several contributions to the school, including:

  • Helping Rutgers preserve and enhance the reputation and quality of the school through strategizing to continually improve credit and noncredit offerings to the community and helping to build value to the business community
  • Offering the benefits of professional experience to faculty and students through occasional classroom visits and participation on forums and conferences
  • Promoting the school’s goal of linking industry to help ensure work is relevant and benefits the business community
