FREDERICKSBURG, Va., [November 23, 2015] – The U.S. Army Materiel Command’s Commanding General, Dennis L. Via, visited EOIR’s Jackson Square facility in Fredericksburg, Virginia on October 16, 2015 as part of his small business outreach program.
“It was an honor and a privilege to host General Via at our facility,” said Peter Cannito, COO. “We are very pleased that AMC recognizes the critical role agile businesses like EOIR play in innovation and R&D for the Army.”
EOIR demonstrated various prototyping capabilities and innovative projects for General Via during his tour. These demonstrations included EOIR’s big data analytics, cloud computing, advanced visualization, and smart sensing capabilities that have been developed in partnership with a number of DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) customers.

General Via also talked to EOIR about how the Army is supporting the needs of small businesses. General Via discussed current programs and initiatives specifically designed to promote small business utilization to nurture and sustain the small business program in FY2016.
